These Heeb-chic photos (can that please become a hashtag?) come from the latest fashion spread in Israeli magazine BelleMode. While many Israelis see themselves as religiously progressive, there is still a determined ultra-religious contingent pushing their fundamental beliefs onto the country. Sound familiar? The photoshoot takes the fight to ground zero, the bus, which Orthodox Jews want to separate by gender. Not only do the magazine editors think a woman belongs on a man’s bus, they think that woman should be wearing beautiful, revealing clothes. Is the editorial purposefully provocative and obvious? Yes, but are you really going to complain about seeing hot Israeli male models? Plus Orthodox Jew garb is on trend, right Robert Pattinson? (c/o Gawker)
